The Australian Centre for Education (ACE) is an initiative of IDP Education that began in Cambodia in 1992. ACE’s main goal is to provide high quality English language training. Since its inception, the school has successfully assisted over half a million students in learning English.

On Sunday 24 February 2019, ACE held a graduation ceremony for General English Program (GEP) Level 12 and Diploma in English students. The ceremony welcomed over 850 participants including students from all of ACE’s Phnom Penh campuses, with graduates receiving a certificate for their accomplishment. It was also a great opportunity for families, friends and teachers to support the graduates. The ceremony included speeches from Ashley Irving, ACE Principal, and from selected students.

Soveacha Sim, a GEP graduate, expressed in her speech, “I would like to thank all my teachers and friends for always helping me throughout my English course. I’m very proud of ACE for providing a range of English courses with qualified teachers for the benefit of Cambodian students”. Another speech was given by Vivathana Sopha, a Diploma Program graduate, who said, “ACE has taught me a lot, from improving my English skills to improving my self-confidence. I used to be so shy and insecure because of my English, but now I’m here in front of you all”.

The ceremony was filled with joy and celebration, especially for the graduates but also for the teachers, family and friends in attendance.
