LLAs Help Students to Reach Goals
By Ry Kolap, ACE Samdech Pan Teacher

Have you ever felt like you are not keeping up with the rest of the class? Do you feel like no matter how hard you try, there are still things that you are not sure of? Do you have questions that you want to ask but feel afraid that it will interrupt your classmates’ progress in the lessons? If you do, a Language Learning Advisor (LLA) has the perfect solution for you!
The LLA service is a new program created by ACE to provide free, sustained, one-on-one counselling services for students who need extra help with their studies. The LLA staff is highly qualified. They are qualified teachers who have experience in not only teaching but also guiding students towards their goals. Despite being a new program, the LLA initiative has gone through several thorough assessments and modifications to ensure that it is of the highest possible quality. Once you have entered this service, we will help you set your goals and guide you to reach them. We will also keep track of your progress and concerns so that you and your teachers can have a better understanding of the kind of support that you need to do better. Once again, this is completely free – we only ask for your commitment.
The type of study advice being offered by the LLAs is called “Autonomous Learning” and it is proving to be very popular with students. In fact, the response has been nothing short of fantastic. Across all of ACE’s campuses there has been strong interest and participation in the program.
So why not come and try it out? Just visit the GIL Centre, tell us when you want to have the session, and start your journey now to a better performance!
