UK Universities to Showcase Study Opportunities in Cambodia
By I’mACE Team
Organised by IDP Education (Cambodia), the UK Education & Scholarship Expo on 19 January 2019 will bring UK education institutions to ACE Tuol Kork Campus in Phnom Penh to provide face-to-face advice and guidance to students and parents on study options in the UK.
The event is one of the largest UK education showcases in Cambodia coordinated by IDP Education, a world leader in international education and student placement services for the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the US and Ireland. IDP Education now has over 100 offices worldwide, including offices in the UK. The Expo will provide information on study options for secondary school, vocational education and university programs, as well as information on relevant scholarships and visa requirements. Entry to the Expo and access to IDP’s student enrolment services are both free for students.
“This is a unique opportunity for any Cambodian student considering studying abroad”, said Sreng Mao, Country Director, IDP Education (Cambodia). “The Expo provides a platform for all the resources needed to study in the UK”. Interest in information about UK study opportunities has grown; this is reflected in the increasing numbers of participants joining IDP’s information sessions and expos.
“We are committed to providing the best services to students interested in studying abroad”, said Vantak Chheang, Student Placement Manager, IDP Education (Cambodia). He added, “This is a comprehensive opportunity for students and parents in Cambodia to meet with representatives from around the UK”.

Joining the Expo will be the Australian Centre for Education (ACE) and the IELTS Cambodia Official Test Centre. Representatives from ACE will discuss opportunities to study the English language to meet the requirements of UK education institutions, while representatives from IELTS will be there to advise on test registration and preparation. IELTS will also introduce the new computer-delivered IELTS (CDI) at the Expo. With CDI, candidates can now choose to take the IELTS test on a computer. CDI is believed to better cater to the increasing demand for the test around the world, as well as serving test takers by making better use of emerging technology. As the only IELTS Official Test Centre in Cambodia, IDP Education (Cambodia) is excited to be able to offer this new test-taking experience to candidates taking the test for study, work or migration purposes.
“I have always enjoyed attending IDP events. Amazing people, valuable opportunities and simply a wonderful experience!” said Oum Syvan, President, Chevening Alumni Association Cambodia.
