IELTS Cambodia and University of Southeast Asia sign MoU on IELTS Test Venue Partner
Phnom Penh, Cambodia: A Memorandum of Agreement (MoU) between IELTS Cambodia and University of South-East Asia was signed at University of South-East Asia in Siem Reap, Cambodia on Tuesday 13 June 2017.
The MoU allows for University of South-East Asia to become an IELTS Test Venue Partner under the authority of the IELTS Cambodia Official Test Centre.

“We are pleased to be welcoming University of South-East Asia as an IELTS Test Venue Partner,” said Mr Sreng Mao, Country Director at IELTS Cambodia. “This MoU reflects the growing awareness of the importance of benchmarking English language capacity for study and career advancement at leading education institutions in Cambodia. We look forward to working together with University of South-East Asia to grow the number of students taking the IELTS test.”

This MoU truly reflects the significant understanding and progression of the official use of IELTS as a goal to measure English language proficiency for applying for scholarships to study in Australia, Europe and USA and for leading career development in educational institutions in Siem Reap. We will cooperate in partnership with IDP Education to promote to the number of students who are going to take IELTS,” said Mr Sien Sovanna, President of University of South-East Asia.
IELTS is the world’s most popular high stakes English language test in the world with over 2.9 million tests taken each year and over 10,000 institutions worldwide – including universities, schools, employers, immigration authorities and professional bodies - recognise IELTS as a benchmark of English language capacity. IELTS is jointly owned by the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia and Cambridge English Language Assessment.
