IELTS Cambodia Official Test Centre Signs MoU with BELTEI

Phnom Penh, Cambodia: A Memorandum of Agreement (MoU) between IELTS Cambodia and BELTEI International University was signed at BELTEI International University in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on Friday 28 April 2017.

The MoU allows for BELTEI International University to become an IELTS Test Venue Partner under the authority of the IELTS Cambodia Official Test Centre.

“We are pleased to be welcoming BELTEI International University as an IELTS Test Venue Partner,” said Mr Sreng Mao, Country Director at IELTS Cambodia. “This MoU reflects the growing awareness of the importance of benchmarking English language capacity for study and career advancement at leading education institutions in Cambodia. We look forward to working together with BELTEI International University to grow the number of students taking the IELTS test.”

“We want to assist our students who would like to sit for a test for study abroad and employment opportunities,” said HE Ly Chheng, Director-General of BELTEI Group and the President of the BELTEI International University. “Our students now have the opportunity to benchmark their English proficiency through one of the most prestigious and recognised English proficiency tests in the world,” he added.  “Students from BELTEI and other schools can now sit the test at BELTEI International University as the newest IELTS test venue in Cambodia.”

IELTS is the world’s most popular high-stakes English language test with over 2.9 million tests taken each year and over 10,000 institutions worldwide – including universities, schools, employers, immigration authorities and professional bodies – recognising IELTS as a benchmark of English language capacity. IELTS is jointly owned by the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia and Cambridge English Language Assessment.

The MoU was signed at 10am at BELTEI International University, Street 360, Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
