IDP Education (Cambodia) Wins Two Awards at the Global CSR Awards

IDP Education (Cambodia) won two awards at the 11th Annual Global CSR Summit and Awards 2019, one of Asia’s most prestigious CSR award presentations, held on 4 April 2019 in Kuching, Malaysia.

The Global CSR Summit and Awards recognises and honours companies for their outstanding and innovative world class CSR programs. These companies must demonstrate an ongoing commitment to promoting ethical values, compliance with legal requirements, and respect for individuals, communities and the environment.

IDP Education (Cambodia) is pleased to have been awarded the:

Best Community Program Award (Bronze)

Excellence in Provision of Literacy & Education Award (Gold)

Representatives of IDP Education (Cambodia) attended the Global CSR Summit and Awards, all of whom are members of the IDP/ACE Social Committee, which leads and drives IDP’s CSR programs in conjunction with the ACE Student Ambassadors (ASAs). They were all pleased to attend panels and sessions, and to network with other attendees to learn more about CSR and share their current programs with others. Everyone returned from the trip inspired and motivated to continue IDP’s CSR work.

When Chendamony Chea and Yasmine Genena, Chair and Vice-Chair of the Social Committee, were asked about receiving these awards, they said, “We are pleased to be recognised and awarded for our CSR programs. CSR continues to be an important part of our work, and we hope to see its continued growth and impact in the coming years”.

Organised by Pinnacle Group International, the Global CSR Summit and Awards has become the gold standard in the CSR community. Out of 300 entries received, 60 companies were awarded top honours in the eight main award categories. Presenting the awards was the Guest of Honour, YS Dato Sri Hajjah Fatimah Abdullah, Minister for Welfare, Community Well Being, Women, Family and Childhood Development.

IDP Education (Cambodia), via the Australian Centre of Education (ACE), plans to continue its trailblazing CSR programs, which are growing in impact and scale each year. Coming up later this year are the 4th Annual ACE Fun Run for the Environment and the ACE Charity Christmas Edition 2019, among other CSR activities.

Our programs bring together students, parents, staff and the public. The events seek to form a community and bring awareness to important social issues while raising funds for various causes. The CSR programs have donated tens of thousands of dollars to Kantha Bopha Children’s Hospital, purchased recycling bins for public schools and built toilets/wells in provincial public schools.
